Transcend is a membership-based, virtual mentoring community created by trans people, for trans people.
Why Transcend exists
Many of us experienced transition as a maze: scattered information, inconsistent support, and the feeling of being the only one in the room who understood what we were going through. Transcend Pathways was born out of a simple question: what if no one had to navigate that maze alone?
Our mission is to create a calm, grounded space where adults in gender transition can connect with experienced trans mentors for steady, practical, and validating support.
What we believe
- Your gender is real, worthy, and not up for debate.
- You deserve access to information without gatekeeping or shame.
- No one should have to choose between safety and authenticity.
- Lived experience is powerful—but mentors also need training, boundaries, and support.
- Transition is not one path; it’s a set of pathways that you choose from, at your pace.
How we hold safety
- Mentors complete screening and onboarding before meeting with members.
- Clear expectations and boundaries are shared with both members and mentors.
- We use trauma-informed practices and emphasize consent in all interactions.
- We will never pressure you into any specific transition decisions.
What Transcend is (and is not)
Transcend is a peer mentoring and support program. We walk beside you, sharing lived experience, practical tools, and emotional support.
Transcend is not therapy, psychiatry, or medical care. We do not provide diagnosis, prescribe medication, or make clinical recommendations. Instead, we aim to complement your professional care, help you prepare for appointments, and integrate what you’re learning into daily life.
Our name, “Transcend Pathways”
“Transcend” points to moving beyond what was handed to us—expectations, scripts, and limits that never fit. “Pathways” reflects that there is no single right way to be trans or to transition. Instead, there are many routes, and you deserve guidance that honors the uniqueness of yours.
